Defense & Setting Clinic

Service Description

This training focuses on both defense and setting - both in system and out of system. Players will work on proper platform and angles, floor moves, footwork (for defense and setting), and setting location (in-system for setters, out of system for liberos). Pin hitters who join these sessions will work on back row and off-blocker defense, hitting in transition off both the in-system and out of system set, and blocking. Middles who join these sessions will work primarily on blocking and hitting in transition off the setter. Coaches will provide tailored feedback to each player based on their execution and skills. Our clinics ensure personalized attention and we aim to always provide a low 4:1 player to coach ratio. Players will be grouped together based on skill/age. During these trainings we will be using the heavier ball and higher net, so they may not be suitable for players under 13. Coaches: Katie Hirsch and/or Karen Murphy plus varied Assistant Coaches
