Meet The Team
Katie Hirsch
Founder, Team Captain
Katie founded GamePlan with the goal of utilizing her skill-set to help young student-athletes develop their talents, mindset, and approach to life in order to succeed in their ultimate athletic goals. As a player, Katie was a 4-year starting setter and 4-time high school state champion at St. Michael's; a 4-year starting setter and 3-time All-Ivy League selection at Dartmouth; and 6+ time team captain. After finishing her career 2nd all-time in career Assists and Aces at Dartmouth, Katie spent 3 years as an assistant coach at her alma mater before moving back to Austin. Prior to her founding GamePlan, Katie gained valuable experience in the real estate, tech recruiting, and amateur coaching spaces.
Karen Murphy
Performance Coach
Karen joins the GamePlan team as a performance coach from Nampa, Idaho. She brings expertise in coaching and physical training. As a 4-year starting setter at Skyview High School, Karen led her team to 4 state championship game appearances and 2 championships, including the first in program history. Karen continued her career at Dartmouth College where she was again a 4-year starter and 2-time captain, finishing 9th all-time in career assists. She graduated in 2024 with a degree in Sociology and minor in Psychology.
